I’m working on my application to Pitt and I started filling out the SRAR when I saw that I needed to enter my GPA for each individual year, not just my cumulative weighted GPA.
My school doesn’t give you each year’s individual GPAs. Should I just use the GPA system and find out myself what my GPA for each year was? Should I click the button that says “I have not received an annual GPA for this academic year.”? That puts a 0 in the GPA box, so I assume that’s for students who didn’t participate in that academic year.
One more question regarding this: When we’re submitting coursework for half-year classes, should we still put these in as “full year” in Course Length?
@Joeycollege Your school should have clear cut explanations on how they calculate your overall GPA. Based on that, you should be able to calculate your annual gpa.
I’m assuming a half-year class should be something along the lines of a “semester” class
@MrElonMusk It says “If your school provides one grade at the end of the school year, then select ‘Full Year’ when reporting grades. If you [typo on their part] school lists two final grades, then pick ‘Semester’ and so forth.”
A half year class does just have one final grade at the end of the year with 0.5 credits.
Honestly, I don’t remember how I filled out my SRAR with my semester classes last year. I would contact the UPitt office of Admissions for clarification.
@hailtopitt1787 Any input for the OP?
@JoeyCollege, Please feel free to give our office a call for advice on filling out the SRAR: 412-624-7488.
