Pitt students! What do you think my chances are?

I seriously worry every single day because Pitt main is my dream school. I live around 15 mins away from Oakland, and I go there every Thursday to volunteer at Magee Womens. Just being on campus makes me happy. I just applied a few weeks ago (I'm a junior) with my collegiate counselor's help. I sent everything in, including SAT scores. I've been a high honors student since the 9th grade. I have a 3.5 GPA this year, with AP ENGLISH, AP US HISTORY, College in High School Physics, Orchestra, Chorus, French 3 and Gym. I got a 1700 on my SAT the 2nd time. My freshman year, I'm pretty sure I had a 4.0 or 3.9, Sophomore year I had a 3.6 or something like that. Here are my ECs:
National Honors Society
Orchestra (President)
Chorus (VP)
Interact Club(rotary club) (President)
SADD
Social Committee
Renaissance Club
Volunteer year round: Summer at Magee Women's for my 4th year now, the rest of the year as a tutor for k-2nd grade, an ESL tutor for kids with arabic as a 1st language, at a local nursing home during the holidays, and at a church nearby.
I got 2 letters of rec from teacher that saw my progress. One from my physics teacher, the college physics class. I started out with a D, then she told me that i belong in that class and i shoudln't think otherwise, and i started working my butt off, seeking her out for help. I finsished with a 75, but I did get an A the 3rd quarter and a B the 4th. The other letter is from my AP US History teacher who saw me progress, getting the best grades in the class on tests and essays, and participating more in class. He's been teaching for 40 years at my high school and Duquesne U.

I'm worried because I don't know what I'll do if I don't get accepted. I know a girl that got in with a 1620 SAT, NHS, High honor roll like me, she danced, and that's really all I know. She isn't smarter than me either, she's a year behind science wise. People are saying I'm basically in and that I shouldn't worry, but I do so much! Pitt also sent me a 'special status' letter saying that they waived my need for an essay, and they also waived my application fee, but those seem ilke marketing tools because I visited. ): I'm just really discouraged because of the C I got in college chem last year and the C i got in physics this year ): Help!

You might want to consider re-taking your SATs. What is your breakdown with just reading and math? I don’t think Pitt really is that concerned about your writing scores. Pitt will also Superscore your tests scores–that means that they will mix and match your best scores in order to come up with your highest possible SAT score.

You have some time yet, as you are only a junior. This time next year, get everything together and apply EARLY!!! I can’t emphasize this enough. I applied in late July between my junior and senior years and was accepted by mid October.

I’m sorry…I just re-read your post and realized that you’ve already applied.

I think if your counselor advised you to apply, you should be ok. You definitely applied early!!!

You can still take your SATs and send in updated scores.
