I was accepted into both, but still waiting to hear about scholarships/financial aid. Pitt is oos so will be more expensive but not a deal breaker.
Main concern about OSU is the lack of opportunity. Being such a large school I’m concerned about being able to find undergraduate research opportunities and other pre med activities, whereas Pitt seems to be plentiful. Also OSU places a large focus on their Biomedical Science students (applied into, very competitive major that almost guarantees admission to med school) and I am concerned that there will not be as much opportunity for non BMS pre med students.
Can any OSU pre med student weigh in?
Thanks
There are so many threads on being premed - and an entire forum - here on CC. Do a search. Go to the pre-med forum. Your question reflects a lack of understanding about what’s important for pre-meds when choosing a school. You can do STEM research at any school or just do it over the summers somewhere else entirely. (S did no research at all during the school year due to his athletic commitments). Don’t pick a school on this basis.
