Ok, so I logged into courseweb and I only have to take the English Writing section of the placement tests. But instead, I only find this on the top right:

My Courses
Courses in which you are enrolled:
* Algebra Placement EXAM
* Trigonometry Placement Exam

can someone tell me where I have to go to take the english writing? I could call tomorrow morning, but I kinda want to take it tonight.

Thanks!

The same thing happened to my D, and you will have to call them. We called Arts & Sciences this morning, and Pitt's IT department will need to add the English Writing test to D's CourseWeb account.

if you did get a 600 math SAT and therefore placed out of the algebra test, do you just not take it? it's listed under my courseweb

You do not need to take the test.

tedebear, what # did you call?

Classof08, the A&S Advising number is (412) 624-6444. They promised to call back and let D know when IT had fixed the problem. Within a half hour, they called back with good news. They converted her English score on the ACT to an SAT equivalent, and it was high enough that she doesn't need to take the English Writing placement exam. That's why it wasn't on her CourseWeb. She was obviously happy! So in her case it wasn't an error after all, and I can say that I was very pleased with their quick response.

Thank you very much! And I'm guessing that number only works weekdays, because I tried this afternoon and did not get a response.
