Pitzer College Early Decision I 2020

@abcdepp1 me too.
@AnneKatherine @texasbeast Good luck everyone!

I’m starting to get antsy. =3 Decisions come out in less than 3 weeks!

@AnneKatherine Same. I’m slowly dying inside. Did you know that the acceptance letters come in big orange envelopes that have “congratulations” and “you got in” written all over it? I’m crying(figuratively I mean)

@laliaM I’ve seen pictures of the envelopes online and they look really cute! I’m a little worried that because Pitzer sends its decision letters by physical mail and because I live all the way on the East Coast, if I don’t get in I’ll find out just a few days before I have to submit more college apps by the January 1st deadline. I know that it’s too late to improve my application now and that I should be working on keeping up my grades and just living my life but I can’t help constantly thinking “what if?”

@AnneKatherine I live on the east coast too. I’m basically done with college apps though thanks to early action being due november 1st. For me it’s just the waiting. I’m not expecting anything from Pitzer until at least the 22nd. If they don’t accept me that’s fine too because that’s the reason why I applied to my other match/safety schools EA, so I won’t be as crushed.

^I don’t think I made it clear that I applied EA to other schoolw so I would get my decisions before Pitzer’s big decision :heart:

@laliaM I applied to some schools early action as well but most of the schools I’m interested in (mainly small selective liberal arts colleges) don’t offer EA. It must be nice to be 100% done with sending in college apps but at the same time, it may just be making the suspense even worse. Make sure to post your decision once you get it! Good luck!

@AnneKatherine is it a good sign if I got an email asking for more financial aid info? They said “Your financial aid application is reviewed at the same time as your application for admission,” but I kind of don’t believe that. It doesn’t make sense to put together a package for someone who isn’t getting accepted right?

@AnneKatherine This is OT, but out of curiosity what other colleges are you applying to?

For international students, do they mail or email admission decisions? I’m super nervous right now…15 days to go! @laliaM @AnneKatherine

@laliaM

Early Action:
Lewis & Clark College (Portland, OR)
Colorado College (Cold Springs, CO)
Northeastern University (Boston, MA)

Early Decision: !
Pitzer College (Claremont, CA)

Early Decision II: (If I don’t get into Pitzer…)
Scripps College (Claremont, CA)

Regular Decision:
Oberlin College (Oberlin, OH)
Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT)
Smith College (Northampton, MA)
Whitman College (Walla Walla, WA)
Occidental College (Los Angeles, CA)

I put a lot of time and energy into researching all of these different schools. Even though Pitzer is by far my top choice, I know that I’d still be happy to attend any of these colleges. =)

What’s your college list?

@abcdepp1 I think that I read somewhere online that in past years Pitzer has sent decisions by physical mail for students in the U.S. and by email for International students. However, this might have changed since then and Pitzer’s website doesn’t specify.

@laliaM If you forgot to submit the CSS Profile or some other document that’s required from all applicants, I think it’s just a procedural thing. If they asked for your parents tax returns or something else that isn’t required from everyone, then that can be an indication that you made it into a later round of the application process. I might be wrong though but I think that makes sense.

@AnneKatherine lol, well, at least I could dream. Three more weeks till christmas! Two more till notifications! IT’S COMING GUYS!

@abcdepp1 Yeah, I think they send both based off of threads from previous years. If they did send an email I don’t know if it would be on the day they mail decision letters or a couple days after, but hopefully you receive it on Christmas(at least). It would really suck having to wait an extra few days.

12 DAYS! @AnneKatherine @laliaM

Am I the only one that noticed the change in the EDI notification date from the 18th to the 14th?!
I just checked the website and I’m not sure how I should take this… http://pitweb.pitzer.edu/admission/

I heard from the Admissions office that they would be mailing the decisions on 12/14.

6 more days!!!

NERVOUS!
