How does Pitzer compare in difficulty to get into, compared to the other claremonts? I noticed that 7% wern’t in the top 50%. So does Pitzer put much weight on EC’s and personal qualites?
Thanks

I live like 12 minutes away from Pitzer, i will say this you get to use the same library and resources as the other claremont colleges u also get to use the resources and teachers at the other claremont colleges.

i used to live in Claremont, pretty boring area, nice schools though

i agree, Claremont not exactly an exciting place, great school sucky city (sucky as in its a suburb)

Pitzer is the least selective of the Claremonts BUT it's still pretty competitive. One tip: Pitzer is one of the few schools where it's actually harder to get in EA than Regular Decision (they do not have an ED option). Only apply EA if you are at the top of their medians. Overall acceptance rate is about 50% and they do read each application individually.

The town of Claremont is adding more shops, movie theatres, jazz clubs, restaurants etc, opening in 1 yr. just a walk from the campuses. There are so many things going on on campus it is easy to stay plenty busy plus weekends are for the beach and LA. Students have a great social life when they are not studying. Pitzer is the least attractive of all the campuses, no student center to speak of, building a little run down but academics are top notch and students seem pretty happy there.
