Hi, I have been admitted in few good engineering schools (UT Austion, Wisconsin etc..). Can I enroll in 2 schools for the time being as due to some personal reasons I will be able to take my decision only by mid week June.

You can certainly send in your deposit to both schools to hold your spot for enrollment. Understand though that the deposit you will have sent in to the school you ultimately will not enroll at in the fall will be non-refundable.

You can "enroll" in two schools for as long as you want. You'll just lose your deposit at the one you turn down later. It's called "summer melt" - people do this all the time.

Also when you have decided on one school tell the other that you would like to wait a semester or year its called a "Gap Year" and if you hate the first choice your other school will be waiting and with your FA & Merit awards.
You may have to write a letter. Look on-line for Gap year programs. Good Luck

I would advise that you check in with your high school guidance counselor before sending in any deposit $$.

My experience is that most high school G.C.'s will NOT send
end of the year transcripts to two schools if they know what you are doing,
as it violates NACAC guidelines.

Most will only send out a second transcript if they know you've gotten off a wait list. Remember that even with a deposit, colleges consider your admission 'conditional' while they wait for that final transcript.

This is called fraud and will not be tolerated. You cannot defer from one school, attend another and then go the first as a freshman. (It's also not often true that your FA or merit awards will be waiting. FA is re-evaluated every year; merit aid may be withdrawn until the school sees the next year's applications.)

It is also considered unethical to deposit to two schools. The deposit and intent to enroll is considered a contract and you obviously cannot go to two schools.

Make your decision and enroll in one school.
