Hey, on the Stanford supplement, there's a section where you can list people in your family that have gotten degrees from Stanford. Does Harvard have anything similar where you can list people in your family that are alumni? Is it in the Harvard supplement?

nooooooooo, it is on the common app where you tell where your parents went to school. aunts, uncles, grandpas, cousins, etc do not make you a legacy.

If anything, mention them briefly in your essay, given that you can do it in a meaningful way.

Hey how much does legacy count at Harvard?

Ummm what? Are you sure? 1MX, on the Stanford supplement though, it asks for anyone in your family that's gone there....

I think Harvard only counts grandparents and parents, not aunts uncles etc, and only if the graduated from the college not any of the graduate schools

To be a legacy, one needs to have a parent who graduated from Harvard College. Legacy is only a tip factor. The legacies who get in are just as strong as are the nonlegacies.

Ya, the days of an 'old boys club' are long gone.
