I’m and incoming freshman at brandeis and I was placed in a lofted triple in Shapiro hall massell quad. I know there isn’t a way to get out of this but I’m really struggling with the idea of being in a cramped space. Apparently there are only 2 closets for 3 people!! That’s insane my parents are terribly upset at brandies. But if anyone has been in this situation, how did you maximize room for things like hampers, printer, microfridge, suitcases etc. please please need help. Thanks in advance.
Hi! I was in a forced triple as a freshman at Brandeis, and I really didn’t find that I was out of space. 2 closets was a little cramped but not too little space. Printers go on your desk, you only need 1 fridge, suitcases go under your bed etc. There’s plenty of ways to maximize space - it’s really not a big deal for one year of your life.
How did it all turn out? Is it common to have a forced triple at Brandeis? My son is thinking about applying and we haven’t heard great things about the dorms (no AC,cramped, etc…). Just trying to learn more information. I hope you had a great first semester.
