<p>As I said in my other post, I'm changing my major. Well, yesterday I dropped two of my computer classes (worried they would drop my GPA). They said since I'm no completing the 65% or 64%, something like that, of my degree plan this semester that they would have no other choice than to put me on academic probation. Now, from my understanding, that is just a warning, correct? Meaning, all I have to is pass my classes next semester and not drop anymore? I'm worried I won't get my full pell grant next semester. Any advice from someone this has happened to would be nice, this is only my first semester in college and I'm freaking out that I messed everything up.</p>

<p>Academic probation can mean something different than not meeting satisfactory academic progress(SAP) for finaid. I think you are in danger of not getting aid for next semester given the 65% number you mentioned. That sounds like SAP. Contact the finaid office to be sure. When you dropped the classes you likely dealt with the registrars office.</p>
