Placement Exam

<p>I just registered for a placement exam next month (for UIC) and wanted to know what should I review? I mean, what is the test like? Multiple choice? Or does it varies? Can we use calculators on the math section? Is it like the ACT? Are these questions I should be asking admission counselors at my particular school? I know doing well on them are really important, so I want to review and prepare as best as possible.</p>

<p>You might be able to review and study your ass off to get into a higher level class if you really wanted to but remember this is a PLACEMENT exam. Its purpose is to place you into the class that is the right level for you. If you study super hard and get lucky on the test day, you might test into a course that is much too dificult for you.</p>
