Placement exams before orientation

does anybody know exactly how to take that placement exam for spanish/french that we need to take before orientation?? it asks for a password and my regular one does not work. will they e-mail us later the password?? thanks.

I had to search the BU website to find the password. It is "terriers1". Good luck!

please ask someone to be sure whether u can take it at home without a proctor.

last summer, at least for COM, everyone took it at orientation with a student advisor proctoring the exam.

Thanks for the warning, nathansc! I only paid attention to the stuff for CAS students when I took it (because that's my school).

This is from the BU orientation website:

If you intend to fulfill your School/College foreign language requirement with a language previously studied, you must take a foreign language examination.

Spanish and French placement examinations are offered online at http://lpt.bu.edu. Please take the foreign language examination prior to your Orientation session.

When you sign on to take the placement test, there is another section that tells COM and SHA students not to take it at home. It's okay for CAS and SMG students to take it, though.
