Placement Exams

So now is the time where my friends are doing placement exams and I never signed up for any of the ones at UCLA because I don't plan on doing Spanish (I'm probably going to start over in a new language) and I'm not doing music. But I just wanted to clarify that I'm allowed to not sign up for the placement exams for math and writing. For math, I don't know what Math 1, Math 3A or Math 31A exactly are but I'm pretty sure I got a 5 on the Calculus BC exam, so is it all right to assume that I can get credit for Calc I and II and go into Calc III? And for writing, I have a 5 on the Lang exam as well as a 32 on the ACT and a 7xx from SAT, so I don't need to take that exam, right? thank you!

Here is what the math department says about AP testing/credit:

Once you know for sure your AP math score, this will help you decide which to enroll in. You’d only need to take it if you got below a 4 on the BC exam.

Here’s the info for English:
[Writing I](Writing Programs - UCLA)

Basically, either get a 4 or 5 on an AP English test, or you need >720 SAT AND a good score on the English Comp 3 Proficiency Exam. The AP score gets you out of that one.

Thank you very much!
