<p>Yes you have to. It is stated in the Orientation brochure that even if you have taken the AP exams , these placement tests are specifically for the University of Michigan and the courses which they offer.</p>
<p>The advisor will take into account your score on the placement test , your scores at high school on that particular subject and your score on the subpart of the SAT 1 (If subject is English or Math). They will consider your AP exams as well when advising you on what course to take.</p>
