Placement exams

I've heard from my friend about placement exams in college. Can anyone tell me if there is anything like this at Tufts? and if they do exist (hopefully not), then can anyone give me information on them (where, what, etc...), Thanks

Nope, Tufts doesn't use CLEP or any other placement test, the only exception of course being the option language placement tests during freshman orientation.

okay, thanks a lot for the help

I think there are math and bio placement tests offered during orientation too.

YEAH BEN WAY TO GIVE FALSE INFORMATION. lol.

Wait, is Shani serious or is he joking?

I am serious, there are tests for languages, math and bio (if I remember correctly).

I don't think you have to take the math or bio, though. Or maybe there are different rules for math placement for engineers....? But otherwise I didn't even know about math or bio placement tests during orientation last year

Yeah, I apologize, I didn't realize these took place, as a LA major.

There is a language placement test to remind me of how poor of a foreign language student I am.

There was an examination to determine whether or not you got credit on the AP physics exam if you got less than a 5 when I was a freshman. I personally think that's very unfair - ask people to study material that they haven't necessarily seen BEFORE college starts? Ridiculous.
