So I applied for USC Housing this morning (Spring 2014). However, I submitted my application an hour after the form opened. Do you think the chances of getting my preferred housing has decreased? Do many people apply during the first hour?

I just don't want to lose out on my choice housing because of a slight lateness.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Are you a Spring admit?

I don’t think an hour will make that big of a difference. Spring admits will have priority for Spring 2014. Keep in mind though availability will be random. They depend on people going abroad, or not returning in the Spring to offer housing. Last year my DS applied on July 1st too, but he was going abroad in the Fall. He was not offered a placement since his priority fell behind Spring Admits and Transfers. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the reply! When do you think we’ll begin to hear back?

Don’t quote me, but I think it will be November before you hear. We found out in early December that my DS was not getting housing.
