Placement Test?

Hi, I'm wondering if I have to take the placement test. The reason I'm asking is because my sister went to Rutgers and she said she did not have to take it.

I'm going into the School of Engineering. I know that to be exempt from the English part, you need to have at least a 600 in the critical reading section of the SAT. I got a 610 on my first SAT for critical reading and a 580 on my second try. Would I still be exempt since I got a 610?

I also got a 800 on the Math section of the SAT the second time and I am currently in AP Calculus AB. Am I still required to take the test?

Also, I have not been notified by Rutgers that I have to take the placement test.

Thanks!

You will be exempt from reading. But not from math even if you got a 800. Only time you are exempt is if you took AP calc during your junior year (not sure if they specfied that if you scored a certain score, check on that or call them).

Yes, you need a score of 4 or 5 in the junior year.

Short answer is yes.
