Anyone know about the english/math tests UC's require freshmen to take? I just found out from a friend about them today. Did I miss the deadline to sign up to take it or something?

no, the English writing test is a test done by a national company on May 12th and you sign up for it and take it near where you live. The math test is for the college itself -- contact admissions and they'll give you the details.

where do you sign up?

do you know the SAT I or SAT II scores that let a person be exempt from taking the test?

for ENGLISH, to be exempt from taking the test, you need a 680 or more on the Writing section of the SAT, a score of 30 on the ACT combines english/writing test, or a score of 3, 4, 5 on either AP english exam.

well, if they dont send you a letter, then, you probably don't need to take it.

Do they also send you a letter for Math? Since I'm talking AP Calc, if I get a 3 or higher will that make me exempt?
