I just took the placement testing, and I believe I scored too high for when I’m going to college. Finals are coming up so I looked through my notebook, and my teacher went over a couple of things, so I remembered quite a few things on the placement test. However, I hate math, and by the time I go to college I am sure that I am going to forget all of it, plus I really don’t want to be in a really hard course because It takes me a while to figure math problems out. If i scored higher then a course, can I take a course below me? I really hope so D: Thanks
Did you check the email that you got in TUMail? For me, it says “this placement permits you to enroll in mathematics courses below this level.”
I hadnt gotten any email, thanks for telling me though!
Yeah don’t worry about it, you can enroll in classes below the level at which you tested.
Are you a CST major? well if you are, you should take that test over and over again until you pass with a score that reflects you properly as a student. I made the mistake of not taking those tests seriously and was put in a lower level math course when I should have been in Calc 1. I didn’t prepare or care and it has come back to bite me. Now temple won’t let me take my necessary science classes because of my math. Here, math and science go hand in hand, so you aren’t able to move on to the next science if you aren’t in a certain math. For example, you can only take general chemistry 1 after you’ve taken college algebra. Now I’m gonna have to be here for 5 years instead of 4 all because of a placement exam.
My bad. I read your post wrong. sorry!
