has anybody been able to successfully register for placement tests online? supposedly, you need to activate your ucinetid, which i already have done, but the problem is that the window only shows a few dates (up until june 5)...does somebody know what's going on? when are we officially allowed to register for these placement exams?

ok, so it is may 10 (Mother's Day in Mexico), and i have tried to register for placement tests but still the page would only show limited dates (up until june 5) has anybody been able to finally register for these tests?

omg! what's wrong with UC Irvine!! I just called the testing office and they told me that registration for placement tests begins on May 18, the same day as for orientation...What's up with these people never following their deadlines......suckssss

you can take them either on the same day or on different days, all your choice. uci doesnt matter. But I would take them all at the same time just so you can get them done with.

The two big placement tests required are the AWPE and the math placement test (varies by student). The only urgent placement tests all students is the AWPE. In a sense, you can get away with taking no placement tests if you do not take chem, math, or writing. However, as a bio major you will most likely take math, chem, and writing in your freshman year so make sure you take all of them.

I dont think I have to take the AWPe, but the admissions office wasnt very helpful. I've already taken eng 101 and 102 and my CC, both UC transferable, so I think it should satisfy the English req. The admissions officer just told that "they werent sure, just do whatever" basically

First, check assist.org. If it says on there it fulfill slower division writing, thne you might be in good shape. However you need to take th AWPE if you want both english classes to take over your writing courses at UCI. Take the AWPE then petition the two classes. They will transfer along with the grade.

You still need to petition it. Take the AWPE otherwise one of hte english courses will be used to pass Writing 39A which is something you don't want to waste a class on. I had the same deal with eng 1a at my community college. I accidently used it to get out of AWPE, but I could've used it to fulfill Writing 39B with a grade.

Take the first level of writing or english at a community college that includes "compisition" in the title. The easiest way to figure out is assist.org though.
