Placement testing transfers

I'm in the process of transferring to a CC in my state, from one out of state. My original college uses the PERT (Florida) and the school I'm transferring to uses the COMPASS (Georgia) I'm still trying to get in touch with someone at the school to have the scores sent, but I was wondering if those two tests are compatible, or if colleges have some sort of something to compare the scores so that I won't have to retest at the new school.

I did place into learning support in math, and I'm not done with it yet, so I never transferred any math to the new CC. Everything else is transferred and not needed for testing. I wouldn't mind that much if I have to retest, I just don't have the gas money.

Pick up the phone and call the counselors at your new CC. Ask if they can place you into the correct math class based on the results of your most recent course at your old CC. If they can’t, you will have to take their placement exam so that they put you into the course that is the best one for you.
