Hi, In te freshman planner and advising booklet that came it says that for BME you can choose between Calc 1 or Calc 2 and that you can take a placement test to see which one is better for you. Is this placement test mandatory, or is it just to help us decide? Also, where can it be found?; I couldn't find it on the WSE advising site. Thanks.

It is not mandatory, though I would probably take it if you don’t have AP credit.

[JHU Mathematics](http://www.mathematics.jhu.edu/new/undergrad/advising_placement.htm)

There are links on that page that may answer your question.

thanks! i want to start with calc I regardless…i just didnt want to take the placement test i would be embarrasing how bad i’d do on it considering ive forgotten all calc. i got a 3 on the BC and a 4 on the AB section of the AP CALC test
