who knows when the placement tests for languages, etc are this year?

i’m guessing they’re in the summer, but if anyone has a more specific date, it would be very much appreciated.

For spanish and french they're online. The rest are during the first week after moving in, I think.

How about Chinese? Can we also take online?

Only spanish and french, as far as I know.

If I got 770 on SAT Spanish is there any other placement test I need to take?

No i think you tested out with that 770.

for spanish all you need is a 650! that seems SOOO easy.

is 650 same for all languages? llike chinese?

I think for bi-linguals (I'm assuming thats the case in Chinese) you need to take a special bilingual test.

i checked UPenn's site. they dont take SAT II for Chinese, less im wrong. if u wanna test out,u can take a placement when u get there.

can any1 else confirm this?

Spanish Placement Exam:

thank you shreveport!

It's no problemo... I bombed it myself, but I knew I was destined for SPAN 110!

you know what sucks..that inspite of taking IB french (which is pretty tough), I still have to take the test-out exam...hopefully, it'll be easy.
Same case for AP french as well right?

if a study abroad requires lets say 2 semesters in spanish and i place out of an equivalent of 2 semesters, does that count?

Hi, this may be a dumb question, but if i totally ace the placement exam for spanish online, am I exempt from taking anymore spanish classes at penn?

you guys already did your online placement tests!?!??!? if not..when do we take them....and where do we find the link for all placement tests?
