I noticed that the orientation site is partially up for UGA and when browsing it we're a bit unclear about taking placement tests (math and english in particular) prior to orientation vs waiting for AP scores (which might negate the need for them) for senior classes. Does anyone have a clear sense of how this works if you manage to register for an early session (before the AP scores come out) and have a child who does not want to take additional tests?

IIRC, they advised that you take them pending your AP results. You will register for your classes during orientation so you pick based on your placement scores. You can always go back and change once you get your results if needed.
