I was just curious what they're like and what I should be expecting, especially the math test. Math is definitely my weakest subject. I completely skipped out on pre-calc/calc, opting for AP stats instead (gotta love English-math ;)), so I'm a bit worried how I'll do. I heard that it's not that bad, but I'm sure this is coming from people who are great at math. What kind of questions are on it that a calculator isn't required/makes it harder to take the test? I'm totally dependent on my calculator :(

I got 100%… I’m the ****.

It’s not that hard.

If you didn’t even take AP Calc in HS I don’t think you will be taking something that dependent on Calc in college. It’s all pre calc stuff, so I wouldn’t worry.

Really, don’t worry.

I haven’t even taken pre-calc… And aren’t you in engineering?? Of course YOU would get 100% :P

Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to brush up after I’m done with my AP tests.

Really, it’s not bad. It’s hardly pre-calc. It’s a lot of algebra.

Plus you don’t even need to do well for your major, I’m guessing

Very true, I just don’t want to feel stupid. :)

haha, I wouldn’t worry.

And you might not even see your score.

At orientation they just told me I did fine and I could start in Calc 3. I only saw my score because I looked on my advisors computer screen.

The Math and Chem placement tests are very easy. The math placement test is just algebra. It would be of similar difficulty to what you’d see on the ACT, but a different format.
