I plan to take at least 2 placement tests in Computer Science and Latin. I already asked about Latin in another thread, so I won't run on about that. However, I think I would be able to pass the Computer Science placement test (if I don't, then my path is decided for me), and I know how to program in Java with the exception of GUI elements. Would it be prudent to take the 2110 course if I pass the placement test, or should I still go into intro CS (1110)? I guess what I'm asking is if placement tests roughly imply the level of knowledge necessary to move on. If so, I will assume I'm fit to skip the class; if, however, they are generally much easier than the actual course, I would consider not accepting the credit. Any opinions out there?

Anyone ever taken a placement exam on these forums?
