I've heard some of my friends talk about placement tests for math, foreign language etc.
am i supposed to be taking these? or will i get all of this info at preview?

For foreign language you don’t need to take a placement test if you are going to take a language other than a second language you already speak or took in high school. If you already speak a second language or want to continue a language you took in high school you can place into the correct level or even place out of the language requirement if you score is high enough by taking a SAT placement test at UF. You register through UF not collegeboard. The test can be taken either in the summer or during the semester before you plan to schedule the language.

Chem and Math you do need to take. I would take these before preview, but it can be done after, so you know how you should schedule because your placement will restrict what you can schedule and as time goes on there are less classes available. It is done online at home. I believe if you have AP or college credit for math or chem and it is enough to fulfill the requirements for your major and you do not plan to take anymore math or chem courses you do not need to take the tests, but I would check with a counselor just in case.

Honestly I would just take them to be safe. If you have taken chem and math in high school then you should be fine. They arnt that hard. I believe you should be able to take them at isis
