If you got both at least a 600 on the CR section on the SAT and have gotten a 4 or 5 on a AP Calc exam, I know that you are allowed to skip the testing.

On the application, it only asks for the 600 on the CR and does not mention anything about the AP Calc math exemption.

What do I do?

You cannot be exempt from taking the math placement test, and there is no “exemption requirement” for it. I don’t know where you’re getting this information from. You can’t use your AP calc score to exempt out of the test.

You can only be exempt from English.

“All students will sit for the Math placement test, unless you have an AP Calculus score of 4 or 5, from 2010 or 2011. There will be no exceptions to this. No SAT Math score nor current Math course in high school would exempt you from our Math placement test.”

Maybe the policy changed this year?

Well if you’re in the business school and that’s what it says, that’s what it says

That has always been the policy, If you have already taken the AP test and have a 4 or 5 you do not have to take the placement test.
You do have to take it if you are taking the AP test this May since you will not have your score until July.

Not true. I got a 5 on BC calc exam, got above 750 on both SAT I and II math, and still had to take the placement test. Maybe its because I’m an engineer.

Hey, I was just looking at that this morning! I’m going to be a freshman in SAS Honors and, from what I saw on the RU website (sorry I don’t have the link atm) you can be exempt from taking the Math and English placement tests. Maybe that’s only for SAS? I think for English it could be due to either your SAT or AP score, but for Math it’s just your AP score.

For the SAS and business school you can be exempt from the english and math placement tests. For the former, either an ap exam score OR SAT score can exempt you. In regards to the latter, only a 4 or 5 on the ap calc exam will exempt you.
