Students at admitted school days have been saying various things...

There are 2 placement tests that you have to take, math and writing.

You DO NOT need to take the Writing Placement exam if you have one of the following:
[ul]
[]AP scores in English Language/Composition or English Literature/Composition with a score of 3 or higher
[]transfer college credit in English Composition from a regionally accredited institution with a grade of C or higher
[li] Students with a combined critical reading and writing score of 1050 or higher on the SAT[/li][/ul]

You DO NOT need to take the math placement if you have one of the following:
- [] completed a college-level pre-calculus or calculus class that is equivalent to a Stony Brook math course and earned a grade of C or better in the course
[] earned at least a 4 or 5 on an AP calculus exam
However, even if you are exempt from the math placement exam I still suggest you take it anyway.
