I was wondering if anyone has taken their placement tests as of yet. I might even do it for fun just to see where I would place.

What tests do you have to take?

wasn’t even aware we had to take them… eehh, guess I’ll be taking remedial classes if I go here -___- lol

Haha I doubt you’ll be taking remedial classes, Cens. Have some faith in yourself :D

I remember a vast majority of the pert was all about slope intercept form… That was 2 years ago though

I have precalculus, Spanish I & II, chemistry, and English I & II classes from a CC. (In addition, I’m a social science major – my math an sciences are done from that CC anyway.) Does anyone know if I even need to take these tests?

there’s a placement test??

Yesssss lol

what is it for exactly? which classes we are going to be placed into?

They are SUPER easy, just take them seriously lol, and I mean like get a good day, ENTIRE DAY, that is, and just do them

You were so right! That test took about 10-15 minutes. Easy-peasy!

where do we take them at?

Yeah, I’ve never heard of these either. Do you have to take them if you have college credit already?

Eh…I don’t know…I found mine in ISIS.

Just a tip guys: For chem, make sure you really ARE prepared for Chemistry 1. And same for Calc 1.

AND DO NOT be intimidated by a chem 1+calc 1 in your schedule. It’s all about studying smart (not studying hard; of course, study hard AND smart, but focus on studying smart more). You guys are rockstars, you’ll manage!

Anyone know: If the student knows s/he should NOT be in the Chem 2045 class, can s/he just sign up for the remedial class without bothering with the placement test? Chem was my daughter’s worst class in school (a C she was happy to get), so it’s unlikely she’s ready to take the harder class. It would probably be helpful to take the easier one. She was thinking about doing so at our local college over the summer.

Also, if the class required for one’s major is LOWER than Calculus (My daughter’s major requires Precalc: Algebra and Trigonometry, MAC 1147), do they still have to take the placement test or is that only to get into the Calculus class?

@Sabertooth What about going into Calc II and Chemistry II?

Anyone know the answer to this question posted by Alex23? I had the same question…
