<p>When do we need to do our placement tests for chemistry and a foreign language by? I'm in Revelle. Also, just to confirm, they're all online, right? The UCSD website isn't letting me take the chemistry placement test, it has some kind of VPN error.</p>
<p>I don’t know about the foreign language test, but the chemistry placement test is online. It’s only advisory, so you only have to take it if you want to. Any time before you enroll in classes is likely fine. Your adviser might use the results of it to advise you on what chemistry class to take, but you can enroll in whatever you want.</p>
<p>^The same applies for the foreign language placement test which is online also. There are no deadlines so you can take them whenever you feel like it and obviously it would make sense to do so before you plan to register for that course. But yeah, if you don’t plan on taking chemistry until spring quarter you can wait until say winter quarter to take it and that’s perfectly fine.</p>
<p>You can take the test whenever. However, say you want to take Chem fall quarter. You should take the test before it is time for you to enroll. Also I believe that the placement tests only last one year (at least the math one does)</p>
