Hi! I have to take a language placement exam during welcome week (I'm going to be taking the Spanish one) and I wanted to know generally how difficult it is? I've been trying to find practice exams and I can find them from other colleges, but none from USC ):

I don’t remember much about my language placement test, but based on my experience and those of my friends, I think you’ll be placed appropriately. When did you last take Spanish and how far did you get? That makes the biggest difference of all. Otherwise, just review basic concepts before the test and you should be fine.

20% listening comprehension 80% grammar and vocabulary. Generally speaking, if you have 2 years of HS Spanish, you’ll probably have to start over. If you had 3-4 years, you’ll probably place into Spanish 2. If you have more, including AP, you’ll probably place into Spanish 3. It is very difficult to place out, however, a 4/5 on AP Spanish will automatically satisfy the 3-semester requirement.
