<p>I am going to UW madison and and majoring in Gen Engineering, i was wondering what will be happening during the placement tests, and what tests i will have to take. Will i have to take spanish even though i dont plan on taking a single spanish test in Madison</p>
<p>Everyone has to take the English and math placement tests, regardless of how many AP or other classes they have taken, or which college they are in. The math test is precalculus level, if you need to brush up on it, do so- the website - student info you can access will give you details. You only take the language test if you plan to continue in the same foreign language; it is used to decide which level course you will take. Unless you took the tests in Wis this spring you take them the morning of the first day of SOAR.</p>
