Placement Tests

Does anyone know if language placement tests are still required if you're planning to start from the very beginning?

I think so.

you might be able to bypass it

from here:
[UCI Academic Testing Center Online Registration](http://www.testingcenter.uci.edu/Placement%20Testing%20Program.htm)

for example, if you click on spanish, it says: “Students without previous background in Spanish must take a copy of their high school transcript to the Humanities Undergraduate Counseling Office in 143 Humanities Instructional Building (HIB), open daily 9-noon and 1-4 p.m., to activate their eligibility to enroll in SPAN 1A.”

So, I didn’t take the AP Calculus exam this year, but I would like to be placed in the Calculus class because I’m currently taking Elem. Calculus. And I looked online to see that the placement test for Calculus already passed O_O!???!

So when am I supposed to take the math placement test…?

The Testing Center will be administering placement exams before the SPOP sessions this summer. Look here for dates:

[summer testing and orientation dates](http://www.testingcenter.uci.edu/summertestspopdates.html)

When do we sign up for these tests? Are all of these going to be taken place at UCI?
