Placement tests

Do students go up for placement tests before Bama Bound, or are they given during Bama Bound?

What subjects are students given placement tests in?

They’re given during Bama Bound. See: [Placement Testing - Bama Bound Orientation - The University of Alabama](http://orientation.ua.edu/details/placement.html)

For math: [Math Placement Assessment](<a href=“Testing Services – University of Alabama Testing Services | The University of Alabama”>Testing Services – University of Alabama Testing Services | The University of Alabama)
For Foreign Language: [Foreign Language Assessment](<a href=“Testing Services – University of Alabama Testing Services | The University of Alabama”>Testing Services – University of Alabama Testing Services | The University of Alabama)
For Computer Science: [Computer Science Assessment](<a href=“Testing Services – University of Alabama Testing Services | The University of Alabama”>Testing Services – University of Alabama Testing Services | The University of Alabama)

The math and foreign language tests were offered on different mornings. Those students who did not need to take the math test had about 90 minutes of free time, which was nice. My son got to go to the library, jump on a computer and send in his application for international honors.

The computer science assessment can be done either before or after your Bama Bound session (it’s online). There is no scheduled time to take it during Bama Bound unlike the other two subjects. If the student has college math credit or at least a C (may be a C-) in their final semester of Calculus, they don’t have to take the placement test.
