I'm a junior and everyones been asking where i'm thinking about college and i don't have too many answers. I have about a 3.3 unweighted gpa (3.9 weighted), a 1320 SAT (670 CR 650 Math 520 Writing). 3 years varsity track letterman, 2 years cross country, 1 year jv soccer, 3 years sga member (its a class you have to be elected into. I have been my classes treasurer sophomore and junior year). I'm in NHS and random clubs like beta, STAND, etc. My first choice is UF. I know I will be applying to UCF, FSU, and Colorado at Boulder. Im interested in basically all types of business, pharmacy or chemistry, engineering/ computer engineering, and computer science. I'd prefer to stay in state unless I can get a hefty scholarship out of state.

Woops forgot some important things. I live in Florida and prefer to either stay near it or go somewhere in the northeast (Boston, NY, etc.) Definitely couldn’t go to the northeast without a scholarship though.

What size school would you prefer? Do you want to go to school in a big city or out in the country? Does prestige matter to you, are there any particular sports/clubs/activities you want, is there a certain kind of student body or school feel you’re looking for?

I prefer big school or a medium-sized school in a big city. Prestige isn’t as important as cost or location.

The tuition is about half of a typical private college. We love it there, although my S chose another school.

UF, FSU and UCF are good choices. If cost is important the out of state options will cost you more unless your family qualifies for need based aid. A SUNY school may come close. Your stats are not in the league that will lead you to merit based aid from a better school than UF.

sorry for the bump, but i just got my transcript and my weighted GPA is actually a 4.1. Does anyone know of any schools that give scholarships based off of my SAT score? For example, I know Alabama and Ole Miss have certain scholarships for SAT scores in the 1320-1390 range.
