Visiting UNCW in mid March. Any recommendations on hotels near the school? Any particular things at or near the school that are a must see or do? Doing a Saturday morning tour so we are getting there Friday evening and leaving late Saturday afternoon. That’s not a lot of time for exploring Wilmington itself but we will try to get as much as we can out of visiting the school.
Just pick a chain hotel reasonably close to the school. One I will point out is the homewood suites - fairly new and a hot breakfast included. This time of year the rates should be reasonable, but as the weather warms up the rates go up.
You probably won’t have much time to explore Wilmington - you can easily spend the whole day on campus. But if you do have time, go downtown and maybe grab a bite to eat.
