Places to stay near RPI

Anyone have any suggestions of safe, reasonably priced hotels/inns in the area? Thanks

Everyone seems to go to the Best Western "Rensselaer Inn" which is right down the hill from campus. They are reasonably priced and serve free continental breakfast, check it out

I recommend the Marriott on wolf road, or the Desmond.

Thanks. Best Western is full and Marriott a bit pricey. Do you know anything about the Microtel in Latham?

I got the Marriott on Priceline a couple of weeks ago for $70 per night. We're taking DD to the open house on the 15th and staying overnight. Try betterbidding.com for advice on how to get the best Priceline deals. Good luck!

we stayed across the street from the Microtel in Latham a few weeks ago, I think it was a quality/comfort inn which wasn't bad for the price $86. The microtel, from the outside, looked very nice.

i don't know much about the microtel in latham but the Quality Inn & Suites is pretty good, and cheap. I live in the area, but i have heard good stuff about that one. and it's near by. It takes me about 10-15 min to get to rpi from there. Also it's close by to shopping, and good restaurants.

Also, the desmond is usually expensive (but you can always check. The Marriot might be expensive....My high school has their prom there almost every year.....but it's very nice and elegant. Also it has a very good restaurant inside.

Yes, the Quality Inn and Suites is where we stayed and we were pleased with it.

We got the Marriott on Wolf Rd for $50 on Priceline recently. It was GORGEOUS! We had a king size bed with a pull out sofa. Perfect for three!

I see on Biddingfortravel.com that is often goes for $50-$65 on Priceline.
