Not really too interested in going to an ivy or somewhere super competitive, but my stats are pretty decent.
New SAT, taken end of sophomore year:
730 language and 690 math.
Although I either a) got significantly more intelligent over the summer or b) really messed up on that, b/c I got a 1510 on my PSAT (only one wrong on math and perfect score on the rest) and just took a practice test and got a 1520 (770 language, 750 math) and am going to take the SAT again and will be very surprised if I don’t get in the 1500 range.
I have about a 3.95 unweighted and a 4.77 weighted GPA. Any schools (esp. as an out of state student) where I’d be likely to get merit aid? My top choice at the moment is the honors program at U of Washington; do I have a chance at merit aid there? My safety is U of Utah, what about there?
Thank you
Are you a junior or senior?
You will make national merit, so check into these lists for merit

For merit, check out Washington State instead of UW and Utah State or Utah Valley instead of U Utah
Do you have an idea of what your out of pocket expense needs to be per year (a comfortable range)? Also, do you have a particular academic area of interest? Are you looking for larger schools or are smaller LACS also on your list?
There is some merit aid at Washington, but it’s very competitive and the amounts are not huge.
What is your budget?
@bio2022, you would likely receive a Purple and Gold Scholarship at Washington (up to $8,500 per year for four years).

The Honors Program also awards the Honors Achievement Award to a select group of incoming nonresident freshmen applicants in the form of a nonresident tuition waiver (however, as AroundHere mentioned, it’s very competitive).
