Placing out of language requirement

Is there any specific score for AP French or the SAT II test that will allow a student to completely place out of the language requirement?

Placement Information & Exams
The table shows that a person with a 4/5 or 690 could enroll in French 8/10, but because only French 1/2/3 are required, would this mean that these scores would make you completely exempt from the requirement?

Thanks!

Also, would the required score for the SAT 2 French test be only French with Listening, or would French w/o listening be enough?

For the class of 2016, a 4 or 5 on the AP meant exemption from the language requirement: Home | Undergraduate Deans Office;

You’ll have to check back as they update the information to see if that will still be true for the 17s.

Okay, got it. Does anyone know about whether the SAT 2 is enough to be exempt?
