Ok so in 8th grade I had made the biggest mistake and I had plagiarized a novel because I thought we had to finish it and It was close to the deadline. And so I got iss for one day because that was the only thing I’ve done wrong those 3 years. Will this affect me getting into UT Austin?
No. It wasn’t in high school, so you don’t have to worry about it.
You WILL have to work very hard and get top grades, though. No more “mistakes!”

Check with the HS and make sure your MS records on that mistake is not carried over.

Doubtful that MS records will be carried over. Colleges really only care what happens in high school.
