When does UT start sending out Plan 2 admission's for Fall 2015?

There is a new Plan II admissions director this year because Jennifer Scalora who was the previous admissions director for P2 has retired from UT. So I don’t know how the new admissions director is handling things. When my daughter was accepted in 2011 she applied in November and got her acceptance in January. But there were people who applied early in the cycle who had their decisions in Nov and Dec. Plan II does a modified version of rolling admissions. For top candidates who apply early they will send the decision sooner. For other candidates you may not hear before February if they are “holding” your application to compare it to the entire pool.

They send the acceptances out in a large manila envelope and it comes in the mail. I don’t think the acceptance to Plan II shows up online, you will have to depend on snail mail unless they change things this year.

My longhorn applied October 22 and the envelope arrived the Friday after Thanksgiving. It may be different with the new Director, but I think the manila envelope via USPS is a longtime tradition.

Has anyone received their Plan 2 acceptance letter yet?

Not us, but if you check the other Plan II thread there have been a few that got a letter yesterday. This was the first batch to go out and there will be another batch sent in a few weeks.

@funtimes123 - My D received her acceptance envelope Dec 1st- postmarked Nov 26th. We live out of state.

Congrats, that’s great news!
