So my daughter is from a non ranking school and requested McCombs (honors) first and then Plan 2 second. If she doesn’t get into McCombs, what do they do with her application? Do liberal arts and Plan 2 look at it or is she just not accepted to the university? Her stats and resume are good, but I know business is much harder to get into than liberal arts.
Plan II has said that they can offer admission to you if the university has (auto-admit?) and even though not accepted to the first choice major (McComb’s is tough). But I have not met anyone for whom this actually happened. But that is not a reason to doubt it can, especially for a well-qualified Plan 2 candidate with excellent essays, strong scores, and plenty of Plan 2-ness.
Thanks! She is at a non ranking school so not auto. I think essays and stats are egood though. Her dad was in plan 2 and thinks she is very plan 2ish.
A couple years ago, S applied about Nov 1 for PII. He was accepted into UT by Dec, and offered PII by 1st week in Feb. Full scholarship came 1st week in Mar.
He was a 2330SAT, 3.9, with good EC’s and leadership and essay.
This year, D has applied by Oct 15, was auto-admit, and has been admitted to LA. She has not heard from LA Honors or PII yet.
She’s a 1580(new), 4.0, good EC’s, leadership, and excellent essays.
They just don’t move that fast on PII…
