Congrats to everyone else accepted and good luck to those who haven’t heard!!
Well the first round arrived at last! Congrats to all who have received acceptances! Great program, Plan II.
For those who haven’t heard, expect future rounds up until the end of Feb, the largest round. Those not accepted typically will only be notified also in Feb. Good luck to all.
I mentioned in another thread that P2 strives to inform via snail mail with that thick beige envelope, but sometimes there is overlap given the snail mail time. My son saw the digital acceptance one day before the envelope arrived.
@Biggdan@tripledouble2000 My daughter got in last Friday and the status updated Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully that will happen for you guys, but Christmas break certainly might slow things down.
ACCEPTED to Plan II and I finished the application October 31st.
Rank: 27/566
SAT: 1420
AP: 4 on AP Human Geo, World History, English Language, Government, and Psychology. I got a 3 on BC Calc with a 4 as my AB subscore.
EC: I think this is what helped me out the most. DECA for all four years, 2 time International finalist in DECA, State DECA VP, Chapter President/VP/Sophomore Officer. Choir for all four years, JV Women’s freshman year, Varsity Women’s Ensemble sophomore and junior year, Varsity Mixed Ensemble senior year. Debate from sophomore to senior year, consistently places at local TFA tournaments, two time TFA State Qualifier, placed in finals at UIL Districts. And then I had a lot of other clubs I was involved in throughout high school but these are the main three.
Essays/Recs: It could’ve been better but I still feel they were really strong and well-written. My three UT Short answers discusses politics, my struggle in BC Calc, and leadership in DECA. I had my three letter of recommendations line up with my short answers and come from my AP Gov teacher, BC Calc teacher, and DECA advisors.
I hope this helps! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!!
Is it possible to get a PII acceptance before your other major? PII is my second choice, BioChem first. BC being a large pool, I believe they release more slowly.
@cynecdoche Some P2 acceptances used to come out before major decisions but that trend stopped a few years ago, now I believe they wait until your major decision comes out even if they have a decision ready for you. I’m also a biochem/P2 as well, waiting along with you
