Plan II acceptance letters for Fall 2015 Class

Starting a thread for 2015 letters. My understanding is Plan II mails in waves -- First Batch -- mid November 2nd by Dec 15 and final by Feb 25.

On the CC boards I notices 2014's first letters was around Nov 27 and Fall 2013 the first mailing was Nov 20th

My son is waiting to hear from Plan II as well.

Did some more CC forum searching for the first wave arrival dates of Plan II snail mail acceptances:

November 19 2010
November 24 2011

nothing yet…

Maybe next week.

received a nice white thick letter size envelope today with a UT office of admission return address. Turned out to be a generic please consider applying letter with a nice brochure. Oh well.

Just building up a little anticipation for the real thing, lol. Plan II uses an oversized manila envelope with a Plan II return address label.

A friend was called by UT today to say she had been accepted by business honors

Nice! Plan II does not make phone calls to admits unless they change it up this year. My daughter got into P2 in 2011, no phone call. But with the new admissions director this year, things could be different.

Plan II early admit batch is released during thanksgiving week. I remember seeing a letter 3 years ago either on a Friday or Saturday.

My son got the view book today from admissions that Pualum referenced above. Have to say it’s pretty annoying to get mail that looks promising only to open it and find something generic.

^^Wow came on the thread just to say the exact thing as @collegefind.

My dad and I hurriedly opened it because we knew Plan II comes in oversized envelopes, but alas, just a standard advertising book.

hey if anyone finds out about plan ii, you should post about it here!! i’m nervous :-(

also are y’all applying for scholarships/40 acres?

So I guess the first acceptances will be rolling in tomorrow, if this year is the same as past ones. Good luck to everyone.

No one should be discouraged if they don’t get notification this week because I am guessing that mail might take longer from Austin to your home city depending on where you live. So perhaps the first ones to get an envelope will be folks who live in Austin.

My friend just texted me about her acceptance. Haven’t checked my own mail yet so I’m nervous! Good luck everyone.

No letter in our mail today. But one of our friend’s got an acceptance letter from LAH today. And remember that Plan II sends batches, so this is only the first batch and there will be more to come.

@collegeapps2k14‌ Does your friend happen to live near Austin? Wondering how long it will take letters to get to my home town.

Letters made it at least as far as Louisiana today. :)
