@wila150 probably not. It was last week here for the other school and nothing yet from Plan II.
Thick Plan II envelope is in today’s mail. Will open later.
ABout 1 week after getting into “1st” choice
Congrats @pualum!!! That long wait ended up being worth it!
Thanks! Good luck to you!!
@pualum - Did your My Status change and are you OOS?
@pualum congrats!
Thanks. Haven’t checked the my status page. In State. Plan II admit letter is quite different from the regular admission letter from UT as well as other schools to date… It is 2 FULL single spaced pages. It does send the much appreciated message that Plan II is rigorous.
@pualum - my daughters status page did not reflect her Plan II admission for a few weeks after she received her admission letter.
Got the big manila envelope today - accepted to Plan 2!!! Good luck to everyone else that is still waiting!
Yay! Congrats @funtimes123!!! Every time someone posts to say they got their letter in the mail I get excited, because that means they are still sending out acceptances.
@funtimes123 … Congrats ! Well done. Would you also post your stats for all to know what profile they are admitting. Thanks
Every time I read a post where someone is asking another to post stats, I’m reminded of a presentation I heard many years ago. The Director of Admissions at Duke University said that the admissions process is about the college creating the class. It’s all about the college, not the students. The college (department, honors program, whatever) is looking for students that fill their student wish list for that particular class. They might want artistic students, or students who play an instrument, or maybe students who have a passion for community service. It may change from year to year. It doesn’t matter what they’re looking for. The point is that the students they select have it (whatever “it” may be that year). And if you’re not selected, it’s not that they don’t want you; they just want someone else more. (Sounds kind of like sorority recruitment!)
The holistic review process considers academic achievement, personal achievement, and special circumstances. Those things can’t be quantified with numbers. Students who aren’t selected (for the college, major, honors program, etc.) shouldn’t feel bad or take it personally. It just means they don’t have whatever the school is looking for right now. So please don’t compare yourself to other students based on numbers. It’s not a fair comparison because you don’t know their achievements and circumstances. And if you’re not admitted, it will only make you frustrated or disappointed if your stats are better than someone else who received the invitation you wanted.
Got into Plan II today
I’m an out of state student and got into my major/the university about one week ago. Found out via snail mail but online still says in review.
Congrats @Invisiblelnc!!! How fantastic! Keep sharing the good news everyone! It means the Plan II office is still sending out acceptances!
@Collegefind… I believe that Plan II will be sending out acceptances till end of next week. I think that by Friday Feb 27th all results should be out for Plan II. Good luck to all who are waiting to hear.
Just got my acceptance today!!! Out of state applicant (Idaho). I was recently accepted to Cockrell as well (as of last week) for biomedical engineering. Super excited!
Great job, congrats bsb4389! Your letter had to travel a long way! Keep those acceptances coming P2!
Expect to see some more Plan II admissions by end of this week…
@TinTintoo How do you know?
I haven’t gotten anything yet, and I’ve already been accepted by BHP.
@Galore… Today they are announcing all decisions at UT and between the end of this week and next week (possibly by 27th) all honors results would also be out as well.
