My D's Plan II acceptance letter came in the US mail today!

Do you live in Austin? I’ve heard that people who live in Austin get their stuff earlier.

Yes. Her app was completed 9/22, so she may be in the earliest batch of notifications. Hang in there, if you’re also waiting!

I just know some of my friends are waiting.

I’m personally waiting for the Turing honors decision.

This post just made me incredibly nervous haha. I applied around the same time as your daughter, so I’m sure I’ll know the outcome veeery soon, whether that be positive or negative.

I just received my acceptance! I’ve never been happier!

My D received her acceptance letter today and we’re from out of state. There was no mention about Plan 2 other than she was accepted to the College or Liberal Arts. I’m not paying that close attention does anybody know if an applicant is accepted into the Honors Program it would specify that on the acceptance letter?

Thanks

If she is accepted into Plan II, she will receive a completely separate acceptance letter.

Since my original post I did get around to verifying what you mentioned.

Thanks!

My dd’s plan ll acceptance letter came yesterday. We live in Houston & she applied in early October. Good luck everyone.

FYI: My Status has not changed on Be A Longhorn. Still states, "while you wait… " even though she has received her acceptance letter.

Anyone else?

Has anyone heard today?

congrats everyone !!! i applied yesterday for RD…

Did people find out today?!

Do you guys think that not hearing at this point, if you applied by the October 15th deadline, is an indication of rejection?

I think it just depends on where you live… I’m from Houston and I got mine Monday. If you live out of state it’s probably on the way :)

Not at all. Plan II is on rolling admissions. They read the first batch and then make decisions. You have no idea where that cut off was. The applications that were read, but that didn’t, for lack of a better term, “blow them away” will carry over in the next cycle. My D applied early and heard early. She had a friend that applied around the same time and did not get an acceptance letter until late January.

Does anyone know if acceptance letters are sent to public and private school kids at different times? Ae public school kids given preference?

I don’t think public vs. private makes any difference in terms of decision notification.
