Hi, I was just accepted to Plan II (Woohoo!) but I am also going into Computer Science. I applied to Turing Scholars(honors CS program at UT) and am still waiting to hear back from them. I know that Computer Science is normally very stressful with its heavy workload, etc. I am definitely going to aim for graduating in 4 or less years, interning in junior/senior years, and getting high GPA (hopefully 4.0). My main focus is definitely Computer Science but I am also very interested in social sciences (especially Psychology) and humanities/world history. I hope to enter Plan II but if it will hinder my CS studies too much then I may reject the offer.
Questions:
- How well will the Plan II curriculum fit with the CS curriculum?
- How many required courses are there for Plan II and how many can I get credit for with AP/SATII scores?
- Do I graduate with both Computer Science and Plan II as my major?
- How do Plan II freshman-senior year courses differ from regular or college-specific honors courses?
Thanks for all the help!
