So, I'm pretty excited by the Plan II program at UT, but two of my friends got rejected from the program this year. And believe me, they are not bad students, although granted, they did not take the most rigorous high school course, and they really had no leadership positions. Next year, as a senior I will be applying to Plan II. If I don't get in, is it possible to transfer as a college sophomore?

It is an option offered, but to the best of my knowledge they have not accepted any transfer students, either internal at UT or external, in a few years. They have had a larger-than-expected yield in freshman admissions the last few years, and since they want to keep the program small they aren't accepting transfers.

However, this year they are accepting a smaller number of students initially, and the number of entering seniors is expected to drop in the next 2-3 years, so by the time you would be ready to transfer, transfers may once again be accepted.

Good luck on getting in as a senior though!

No its next to impossible

it says on the plan II website that transfers are not being accepted for the next couple of years.

Transferring into Plan II is nearly impossible...
