PLAN Test Scores October 2011

I got my plan test scores back today! Well actually, I went to the principal and asked him if he had gotten them, and he showed me mine! I got a 29 overall with a project range of 30 to 34 on the actual ACT. Is this good/accurate of what my scores will be?

The questions are usually on the same level but the real ACT is more cut throat because of how long it is.

PLAN test scores are out of 32 instead of 36. The estimated ACT score shows you what you would get if you took it now. That is why a lot of people get even higher than their estimated scores so you did very well!

You should be in the 99th percentile with a 29, I know that because my daughter
just got hers back too. Very good indeed. And now you know what to work on.
She ran out of time in Science ( missed last 6 questions) so she knows she has
to speed up

Congrats, you are right on track for an excellent ACT score.

I got a 27 and I was in the 99th percentile in the nation and the 100th percentile in my school lol.

My projected score range was a 28-32, but I got a 35 on the real thing. I’m sure you will do just as well =)

I got a 29, which I was happy with. My low score was 24 in english. I had difficulty reading the paragraphs because there was so much white space in the texts. I read quickly and all the double/triple spacing really made it hard to read and digest in a glance. I kept thinking the section was over, then I would find more on the next page in a new column. Can anyone explain why I didn’t get any wrong (25/25) in reading and only got a 30? Seems to me I should get a 32. I got one wrong in science and it was a 31. Math I had 3 wrong and still got a 31. On the front of the report it was reported as 16/16A and 16/16G. Do they drop some questions? The curves must be odd. Did anyone else think the PLAN was much easier than the PSAT? I’m still waiting on my PSAT score.

Yeah… I took both the PLAN and the PSAT, the PSAT was much more difficult although they gave you more time per question.

I got my score back in the mail today. Yeah so i got a 29 composite with a predicted ACT range of 31/34, which is not exactly reflective of my ability. I got 32s on the math and science, a 30 on the english with only one incorrect answer and, last but by no means least, a whopping 22 on the reading. Yes, I jagged extra hard on the reading. I hate 20 minute tests.

It seems that the scores were a little strange though, as several in our class didn’t miss any on the reading yet the scores were at 29… or is it supposed to be that way?

My son received his PLAN score today and I have the same question that was left unanswered in this old thread. If you have NO wrong answers on the reading, how do you not get a score of 32, but rather a 30? I just don’t get it.

I find that it is accurate, though more towards the upper range. I got a 30 when I took it a year ago and got 100% percentile in school+99 in country, and have consistent 35s on act

I got a 29 as well (with a predicted score range of 31-34), and I ended up with a 34 on the actual ACT. You will most likely score in the range that your score report predicted, but whether you will be at the top or bottom of that range depends on how well you prepare, state of mind on the day of the ACT, and so on.
